Every time I decide “I’m going to paint my nails!” is like every time I decide “I’m going to cut my bangs!” in that I instantly regret it after I’ve started and I make myself ABSOLUTELY PROMISE never to waste my time on something so stupid and awkward ever again.

This is just to say: I’ve painted my nails for the first time in months, and I did the usual terrible job at it. I’ve been trying to get this down for the past ten years or more. How do people do it?!

OMG maybe I should ask people to ask me about their signs/charts I’m good at reading birth...

i have all these lists of information and comments on different kinds of signs and I’m sure people would read it because I’ve read some god-awful astrology blogs in my life.

There’s this line in this one Daniel Johnston song (Living Life) that actually made it (as a cover) onto the Before Sunset soundtrack and whenever I hear it, it sounds like part of the lyrics are saying that being alive is about “learning to cope with the emotionless mediocrisy of everyday living” and I hope to God that he made up such a genius word as “mediocrisy” because it sounds part mediocre part meritocracy part hypocrisy, which is… emotionless and part of everyday life.

I started watching a movie b/c it was all like ~~set in NYC in the 2000s~~ but then it’s about all these Upper East Side people in their 30s and THERE IS LITERALLY A SCENE WHERE THEIR CAB BREAKS SO THEY HAVE TO GET ON THE SUBWAY AND OF COURSE THEY GET MUGGED ON THE SUBWAY

and they were like, this is why we don’t take the subway! It’s dangerous! And gross!

LITERALLY EVERYONE TAKES THE SUBWAY. WHAT.
